Meet Cary Primeau!
Cary graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 1995 and with a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2004. For the past 16 years, he has been employed by the College of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan and the last 12 years has served as the Campus Recreation Coordinator for the University of Saskatchewan.
Cary has been involved with NIRSA and the Western Canadian Campus Recreation Association for the past 9 years. Recently, Cary has been appointed as the NIRSA region 5 provincial director for Saskatchewan.
On Campus, Cary is a member of a number of committees and working groups including the College of Kinesiology’s Diversity Committee, the Recreation and Athletics Advisory Council, chair of the College of Kinesiology Public Relation’s Committee and the Community Programs Committee.
In the community, Cary has been involved with the local Kidsport Committee, the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships, the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Research Committee, and is a founding member of the Kinsmen Inner City Hockey League in Saskatoon.
Cary enjoys spending time with his family and friends and he continues to participate in numerous sports and physical activities. He coaches a number of his children’s sports teams and plays regularly in the faculty and staff hockey league. Cary still enjoys golf, running, squash, softball and participating in the various fitness opportunities at the PAC at the University of Saskatchewan.
In 2002 and now again in 2011, Cary and his collegues at the University of Saskatchewan serve as the host institution for the WCCRC.
